Deutsche Telekom launches global innovation contest
Deutsche Telekom has launched a worldwide innovation contest, with the winning idea to be developed into a product using Telekom resources valued at EUR 500,000. This includes hardware and software, access to Telekom's extensive infrastructure, and the opening of global sales and marketing channels. It is seeking ideas in five categories: Connected Home, Communication Services, Energy, Virtual Platform and Cloud Computing. Applications can be submitted online until 31 March by students, teams, new start-ups and employees of the company. The contest was initiated by Telekom Innovation Laboratories in Berlin (T-Labs), T-Mobile Poland and Magyar Telekom, and is now being implemented worldwide with EIT ICT Labs Germany as a partner.
