Google chairman Schmidt to sell shares in company
Google's executive chairman Eric Schmidt plans to sell up to 3.2 million shares in Google, worth around USD 2.5 billion. The sale is part of the diversification and liquidity of his individually owned assets, according to a SEC filing. The 3.2 million shares, which can be sold within a year of the filing, represent 42 percent of the 7.6 million Class A and B shares Schmidt owned at the end of 2012. The filing states that the disposals would leave him with 1.3 percent of equity and 5 percent of voting rights.
