HTC sales weaker than expected in Q4, down 2.5%
HTC reported fourth-quarter sales down 2.5 percent from a year earlier to TWD 101.4 billion. Operating profit fell to TWD 13.0 billion from TWD 16.7 billion, and net profit dropped to TWD 11.0 billion from TWD 14.8 billion. Further details of the results will be released at a later date. The figures are well below HTC's already reduced expectations. Over the full year 2011, the company's sales were still up sharply, to TWD 465.8 billion from TWD 278.8 billion in 2010.
