HTC to partner HP for Vive-branded PCs - report
HTC plans to partner with HP on launching PCs with its Vive brand, the Digitimes reports. The company is reportedly planning to release HTC Vive-branded PCs bundled with its HTC Vive headset to provide consumers virtual reality packages at a friendlier price. HTC will acquire PCs from HP and rebrand them under HTC Vive, according to sources from the upstream supply chain. HTC has not confirmed the news.

HTC is van plan met HP samen te werken op het gebied van pc's voorzien van het Vive-merk, schrijft Digitimes. HTC Vive unveils USD 10 bln VR capital alliance

HTC Vive said it has partnered with 28 venture capital firms to create the Virtual Reality Venture Capital Alliance, Recode reported, citing a company statement made during the GSMA Mobile World Congress in Shanghai. The company said member companies have USD 10 billion of investible capital, though did not specify how much would go for VR startups. VC firms taking part in the effort include Sequoia Capital and Matrix partners.

HTC launches Business Edition version of Vive VR-headset

HTC is developing the Vive Business Edition, a version of its VR goggles designed for business applications. The Business Edition at EUR 1,080 (excluding VAT) includes a VR headset, two wired controllers, two base stations and a few accessories. The Vive BE will become available from June in the US, Canada, the UK, Germany and France. It will become available worldwide in the coming weeks.
