Juniper Networks has announced Shaygan Kheradpir as CEO effective 1 January 2014, succeeding Kevin Johnson, who will remain as a member of the board of directors. Johnson had already declared his intention to retire once a replacement was found. Kheradpir joins Juniper Networks from Barclays, where he served as the chief operations and technology officer since 2011. He was previously executive vice president and chief information and technology officer at Verizon Communications, where he worked for a decade.
