
KPN takes stake in Jasper Wireless

Dutch operator KPN has invested in Japser Wireless as part of efforts to step up its M2M services. The company announced the creation of a new dedicated team that will market a suite of M2M services for multinationals as well as for companies with local, national or international operations. In addition, KPN will extend its current international Managed M2M solution to its subsidiaries E-Plus in Germany and to KPN Group Belgium. KPN said it's deepened its partnership with M2M service platform provider Jasper Wireless, becoming its preferred network operator for Europe and exclusive network operator in Belgium, Germany and the Netherlands. KPN has already partnered with Jasper on two M2M major contracts, serving Garmin International and Konica Minolta Europe across Europe. No financial terms of the deal were disclosed.
