KPN to set up new company for data centres
KPN announced plans to bring six of its data centres offering colocation services together in a new company with its own identity. The Dutch operator said the new structure will allow it to better address growth opportunities in the market for carrier- and cloud-neutral services.

KPN has data centres in Aalsmeer, Almere, Eindhoven, Groningen, Oude Meer (Schiphol) and Rotterdam. Existing customers using the data centres will see no change in services. There will no impact on employment either, KPN said, adding the plan still requires approval from the works council.
