MVNO Lycamobile announced it has partnered with Cell C to start rolling out its services in South Africa. This expands Lycamobile’s global network to 23 countries and marks the firm’s first launch in sub-Saharan Africa.
South Africa is one of the largest telecommunications markets in Africa, with a population of over 55 million and around 85 million unique mobile subscriptions. Lycamobile already serves 15 million customers globally, with its most recent launches in Ukraine and Australia.
