Nokia handsets to be renamed Microsoft Mobile - report
When Microsoft's acquisition of Nokia's devices and services business closes, the software giant plans to rename Nokia Oyj to Microsoft Mobile Oy, according to a letter sent to suppliers and seen by the site Nokiapoweruser. The new wholly-owned subsidiary will serve as Microsoft's mobile devices division, according to the letter, which informed suppliers that the terms and conditions of their contracts would not change when the deal is completed. The takeover is expected to close in April.

Nokia said it expects to complete the sale of its mobile phone business to Microsoft on 25 April, around a month later than originally expected. The companies recently secured one of the last, key regulatory approvals, in China. Nokia has closed its branch office in Kazakhstan, reports Profit.kz. Nokia Kazakhstan official accounts on social networks, as well as corporate telephones, have been switched off, and the Almaty branded Nokia shop has also been closed. Representatives of Nokia have declined to make any comment on the issue.
