Here, Nokia company specialising in navigation, mapping and location experiences, has announced plans to acquire US-based Medio Systems, specialist in the field of real-time predictive analytics. Medio's 'smart data' technology will allow Here to create contextual maps and location services that change according to the situation to provide personalised and predictive experiences for people and businesses. The transaction, which is subject to customary closing conditions, is expected to close by end-July. Financial terms are confidential. Following the acquisition, Here plans to share Medio's technology with the other two businesses of the Nokia Group, Networks and Technologies.
