OBS (Orange Business Services) has expanded its long-lasting collaboration with Microsoft by adding the Microsoft Azure IoT suite to its Datavenue portfolio. An example of this latest initiative is the project carried out by OBS for Bosch subsidiary's ELM Leblanc, a French company specialising in gas boilers and water-heaters. OBS delivered a tailored IoT platform using Azure Cloud to monitor the performance of connected boilers, using machine learning to provide predictive maintenance.
Orange’s Datavenue portfolio includes a range of IoT connectivity services (3G/4G, LoRa, LTE M) delivered over an integrated platform for device and data management. The company said that the integration of Azure would also enable its customers to benefit from the capabilities of other Microsoft software tools, including the Cortana Intelligence suite and Power BI.
More information on this collaboration and the project for ELM Leblanc will be shared by OBS at the Microsoft Experience event on 3-4 October in Paris and at the IoT Solutions World Congress on 3-5 October in Barcelona.
