Optus CEO steps down
The chief executive of Australian communications provider Optus, Kevin Russell, will leave the company on 31 March. Transition arrangements and recruitment of Russell's replacement are underway, the company said. In the interim, Paul O'Sullivan, CEO of Group Consumer with parent SingTel, will act as Consumer Australia CEO and Country Chief Officer Australia.

Optus to cut 200 jobs

Australian telecoms services provider Optus expects to cut over 200 jobs in its local operation this week, The Australian Financial Review reports. With this new reduction in the workdorce, the total number of redundancies and job outsourcings since 2012 reaches over 1,700 workers, according to the report.
