
Orange to acquire Spain's Simyo for EUR 30 mln – report

Orange is close to acquiring Spanish MVNO Simyo, a KPN subsidiary, for around EUR 30 million. The transaction is scheduled for completion by year-end, El Economista reports, citing unnamed sources close to the negotiations. Simyo currently has around 400,000 mobile customers in Spain. According to the same source, after completing the Simyo acquisition, Orange plans to focus on purchasing TeliaSonera's Spanish mobile operator Yoigo, and close the acquisition in the first months of 2013.
