OTE to adopt Cosmote brand for all activities
Greek incumbent OTE announced plans to adopt the name of its mobile unit Cosmote for all its operations. OTE said the rebranding is already underway and will be launched in the "following period", with Cosmote used for all services, fixed, mobile and internet from the company. This follows the operational integration of its fixed and mobile activities already. 

The rebranding is a notable departure from the trend elsewhere in the Deutsche Telekom group, where the German operator has been rolling out the Telekom name and magenta colour and pricing at many of its eastern European subsidiaries. This includes OTE's own subsidiary Telekom Romania. Deutsche Telekom is the largest shareholder in OTE.

Nokia, Deutsche Telekom, Cosmote show 3.5 GHz aggregation

Nokia Networks, Deutsche Telekom and its Greek subsidiary Cosmote have demonstrated an LTE-Advanced 3 carrier aggregation combining LTE-FDD in band 3 (1.8 GHz) with LTE-TDD in band 42 (3.5 GHz) at Infocom World 2015 in Athens. The showcase, completed with the commercially available Nokia Flexi Multiradio 10 Base Station, confirms the ability of 3.5 GHz LTE-TDD technology to increase mobile broadband capacity and improve consumer experience.

OTE revenues fall 1.7% in Q3, maintains cash flow target

Greek operator OTE reported lower sales and EBITDA for the third quarter, but maintained its cash flow targets despite the weak economic outlook. Revenue fell 1.7 percent to EUR 971.3 million, as a recovery in the Greek fixed market could not offset a continued fall in mobile and weak results in Romania. Adjusted EBITDA declined 5.7 percent to EUR 350.1 million, and the margin dropped 1.6 percent points compared to a year earlier to 36.1 percent. Net profit was still 13.3 percent higher at EUR 78.3 million.

Telekom wins Coca-Cola HBC contract for EMEA region

Deutsche Telekom's Greek subsidiary OTE won a major contract with Coca-Cola Hellenic Bottling Company (HBC), one of the largest bottlers of The Coca-Cola Company's products worldwide. OTE moves to net loss in Q2 on restructuring costs

Greek operator OTE reported a continued improvement in results in its home market in Q2, while poor results at its international activities dragged group profits lower.
