
Russian national operator Rostelecom has started accepting tenders for a contract to design a cloud gaming platform, reports Tdaily.ru. The platform will enable subscribers to launch games on their end-user devices remotely. The initial size of the contract is RUB 38.2 million. Cloud gaming service will be available over remote servers hosted in a data centre of the operator of the service.
The successful contractor will be obliged to design an application for Windows OS-based PCs with an open API for interaction with STB, iOS, Android and Smart TV devices. The capacity of the platform should total 3,000 active customer sessions simultaneously, independently of the type of end-user device.
After completing the work, the contractor will transfer to Rostelecom an exclusive right for the use and modification of the platform.
