Almost three-quarters of postpaid customers at Simyo and Ziggo Mobiel (including the UPC customers included since April) said they would recommend their mobile provider to others. This puts the two companies well ahead of the rest of the pack. Tele2 had the lowest score, with only 46 percent of customers willing to recommend its services.

Among the mobile network providers' second brands, Telfort did less well than its parent company KPN, at 59 percent versus 64 percent. The same was true at Vodafone, with a score of 61 percent versus 55 percent for its brand Hollandsnieuwe.
In the triple-play market, Online.nl showed some improvement, after declining since July last year. The scores in this market for Telfort and Ziggo however have fallen in recent weeks. For Ziggo, this may be due to its integration with UPC. UPC already had a lower WoM score than Ziggo, prior to their merger. Telfort showed a steady increase in its score early this year and reached a peak in May, only to fall since then. Tele2's score in the fixed market has also stabilised over the same period. Telfort and Tele2 have the highest WoM in fixed broadband, at respectively 60 and 61 percent.

In the handset market, the iPhone 6 secured the highest WoM score among the nine most popular phones, with 86 percent of users recommending the Apple phone. The first results for the iPhone 6 Plus were collected in June, and the more high-end device scored less well than the standard iPhone 6.

Telecompaper checks the WoM scores of triple-play providers, postpaid mobile providers and handset brands every four weeks in the Dutch market. The score measures the percentage of existing customers who would recommend their provider to others.
