Sky announced that its new subscription pack integrating Netflix will launch in November. Called Ultimate on Demand, the plan includes the full Netflix service, plus Sky Box Sets at an extra GBP 10 per month for customers on its top-tier Sky Q service. Recommendations for Sky and Netflix shows will both feature on Sky Q’s homepage.
Customers with a Sky Q Entertainment subscription will get Netflix’s Standard plan (HD 2 streams) and Sky Box Sets in HD as part of Ultimate On Demand. Customers with Sky Q’s premium subscription, Sky Q Experience (multi-room viewing and Ultra HD) will get Netflix’s Premium plan (Ultra HD, 4 streams). Payment for Ultimate On Demand will be added to the customer’s monthly Sky bills, and the plan is offered on a 31-day rolling contract.
Customers are invited to register their interest in the new deal. Existing Sky Q customers with Netflix will be able to move their account to the new pack or sign in to the Netflix app on Sky Q using their existing Netflix account details.
Sky announced in March an agreement with Netflix to integrate the SVOD service in its pay-TV offer. The company plans to roll out the package later in Italy, Germany and Austria.
