SPI FilmBox+ service reaches over one million global subscribers

SPI International's FilmBox+ streaming service, launched in February 2021, has now been integrated with 10 major operators across Europe and has reached more than one million subscribers worldwide.

The FilmBox+ service is available in 12 languages worldwide, offering access to a selection of VoD content and live channels. It currently has a catalogue of over 5,000 titles, offering around 8,000 hours of programming. SPI plans to integrate the service with the platforms of more than 700 operators worldwide.

Pluto TV adds SPI's Filmstream channel to LatAm platform

Global media company SPI International has reached an agreement with ViacomCBS to add its movie channel Filmstream to the Pluto TV streaming platform in Latin America. Under the deal, Filmstream's catalogue of classic movies and independent world cinema titles will be available via Pluto TV in 17 Spanish-speaking countries in Latin America, plus Brazil.

Pay-TV group Canal Plus has announced its intention to acquire a 70 percent majority stake in SPI International, a global player in content distribution and broadcasting. SPI International and Angolan operator Unitel T+ have announced that a selection of channels from SPI's portfolio is now available to Unitel T+ subscribers in Cape Verde in two different packages, reports Advanced Television. Unitel T+ subscribers can access FilmBox Arthouse, 360 TuneBox, FightBox and Gametoon in the Max package and the rest of the offers, namely Fast&FunBox and FashionBox, in the Medium package.
