Sprint debuts Inseego's MiFi 8000 Mobile Hotspot

Inseego has announced that the MiFi 8000 Mobile Hotspot will be available beginning 14 June to Sprint customers nationwide online, and through retail, business and enterprise channels. This is Sprint’s first mobile hotspot with gigabit-speed performance and enterprise-grade security features. 

Gigabit LTE speed

The MiFi 8000 features LTE Advanced-Pro (category 18) technology and 5x carrier aggregation, resulting in higher peak data rates and the best broadband experience across the coverage area. It allows up to 15 Wi-Fi clients to connect in 2.4GHz or 5GHz bands simultaneously, which avoids network congestion and maximises performance.

Enterprise-grade security

The MiFi iQ technology platform features IT admin controls, on-board VPN, guest Wi-Fi network, anti-hacking cyber-security features and advanced enterprise-grade encryption protocols. The MiFi 8000 is designed and developed by Inseego engineers in the USA.

Battery life, MiFi Share

The MiFi 8000 also features 24-hour battery life, Universal Charger with built-in QuickCharge technology as well as file sharing through MiFi Share.

Inseego posts 13.9% revenue growth in Q2, lower EBITDA

Inseego reported second-quarter revenues of USD 55.9 million, coming in at the higher end of guidance, and said it expects more sequential improvement in the third quarter. Sprint's first 5G devices available from 31 May

Sprint said its first two 5G devices, LG V50 ThinQ 5G and HTC 5G Hub, will be available from 31 May. Inseego reported first-quarter results in line with its outlook and forecast sequential growth in the second quarter. Inseego unveils gigabit mobile hotspot

Inseego introduced what it calls the industry's first gigabit mobile hotspot, the Verizon Jetpack MiFi 8800L. This is a LTE Cat 18 hotspot that is now available to Verizon customers nationwide online on Verizon's website and through retail, business and enterprise channels. The device features a large 2.4-inch color touchscreen and supports gigabit speeds as it supports two, three and four channel carrier aggregation, Licensed Assisted Access (LAA) technologies and 4x4 MIMO.
