Sprint is offering customers a 30-day free trial of its mobile services, bettering an offer just launched by T-Mobile for a week's free trial. If customers are not completely satisfied with the Sprint experience within the first 30 days, Sprint will refund the cost of their device and waive all service and activation charges. The satisfaction guarantee is available from 27 June to new consumers and select small businesses who activate a new line as well as existing customers adding an additional line.
Sprint also announced nationwide availability of its HD Voice service. It offers 28 postpaid and 33 prepaid phones with HD Voice and an estimated 16 million customers already have a device supporting the service.
In addition, Sprint launched LTE in 28 new markets, including Seattle, Cleveland and San Jose, bringing its LTE footprint to 471 cities covering more than 225 million people. Sprint expects to reach 250 million with LTE coverage by mid-year. Sprint Spark was also launched in three new markets (St. Louis, Winston-Salem and Greensboro, N.C.). Sprint Spark is an enhanced LTE service that delivers peak speeds of 50-60Mbps. The capability is available in 27 cities.
