Deutsche Telekom has transferred T-Systems' telecommunications services operations to Telekom Deutschland, as part of the wider restructuring of T-Systems and its enterprise customer business. Telekom Deutschland will serve small and large business customers and multinational corporations with its integrated telecommunications portfolio.
Telecom services provided by T-Systems outside Germany also are transferring to the local operators controlled by Deutsche Telekom. In total 3,000 employees in Germany and 5,000 employees abroad will move from T-Systems to other parts of the group. Deutsche Telekom also is bundling its services to international network operators (Deutsche Telekom Global Carrier) and the management of international networks (Network Infrastructure).
Going forward, T-Systems will focus on IT and digitisation services for large clients worldwide. Adel Al-Saleh, CEO of T-Systems, announced the reorganisation in 2019 and it takes effect from 01 July.
