TAG Heuer, Google, Intel to launch Swiss smartwatch
TAG Heuer, Google and Intel have announced a partnership to launch a Swiss smartwatch powered by Intel technology and Android Wear. The collaboration was made official at the Baselworld watch show. Together, the companies plan to develop a luxury smartwatch that seamlessly connects to the wearer's daily life. Further details of the product will be announced at a later date.

Tag Heuer to up smartwatch production, launch new line

Swiss watchmaker Tag Heuer has received requests from retailers, agents and subsidiaries for 100,000 timepieces and will there increase production of its smartwatch over the coming months, Bloomberg reported, citing LVMH Moet Hennessy Louis Vuitton SE's watch chief Jean-Claude Biver. Tag Heuer aims to make 2,000 pieces per week, up from a current 1,200. TAG Heuer smartwatch to cost USD 1,400 - CEO

Switzerland-based luxury watch maker TAG Heuer will start selling a smartwatch for about USD 1,400 in October or November of this year, according to Jean-Claude Biver, head of he watchmaking activities of the brand's owner, LVMH Moet Hennessy Louis Vuitton SE cited by Bloomberg. He also said that TAG Heuer's smartwatch battery will last about 40 hours. The company unveiled last month that it cooperates with Google and Intel to develop a smartwatch.
