Tele2 gets new strategy chief from shareholder Kinnevik

Tele2 announced that Stina Andersson is appointed EVP Strategy & Business Development and member of Tele2’s Leadership Team. Stina will own strategic planning and business development, for the group, including operational oversight of Tele2's IoT division. She will assume the position on 5 December and report to Allison Kirkby, president and CEO. Andersson knows the Tele2 business well from her five years with Kinnevik, Tele2’s largest shareholder, where she most recently held the position of Investment Director and member of the Investment AB Kinnevik management team.

In conjunction with this change, Viktor Wallstrom is appointed VP, Group Communications, and starts reporting directly into Allison Kirkby. He joined Tele2 in 2013 as head of Public Relations & Internal Communications and has since then showed very strong performance and advanced within the company.

Tele2 loses strategy chief Andersson

Tele2 announced that Stina Andersson, its head of strategy and business development, will leave the company after it completes the merger with Com Hem. Andersson is leaving to pursue other opportunities, after joining Tele2 in 2016 from shareholder Kinnevik and helping refocus the company on the Nordic and Baltic region. She will remain in her position at Tele2 until one month after closing of the Com Hem merger.

Tele2 raises FY EBITDA target after growth accelerates in Q2

Tele2 has raised its guidance for EBITDA this year, driven by improving results in its growth markets the Netherlands and Kazakhstan and success with its challenger programme in Sweden and the Baltic markets. The company now expects annual EBITDA of SEK 6.2–6.5 billion compared to previous guidance of SEK 5.9–6.2 billion, while the capex budget was trimmed to SEK 3.6–3.9 billion from SEK 3.8–4.1 billion.

Kinnevik buys 18.5% of Com Hem from BC Partners' NorCell

Investment company Kinnevik said that it has agreed to acquire 33.9 million shares, corresponding approximately to an 18.5 percent stake, in Swedish fixed line operator Com Hem from NorCell, the indirect investment holding company of funds advised by BC Partners. It will pay SEK 110 cash per share, or SEK 3.7 billion in total. The deal is expected to close on 04 May.

Tele2 grows mobile service revenue 10% in Q1

Tele2 reported a strong increase in first-quarter results, driven by its growth markets the Netherlands and Kazakhstan as well as solid growth in Sweden and the Baltics. Net sales rose 22 percent to SEK 7.875 billion, and EBITDA increased 41 percent to SEK 1.723 billion, giving an EBITDA margin of 22 percent. On a pro forma basis for the acquisitions of TDC Sweden and Altel in Kazakhstan, sales rose 3 percent, mobile service revenues were up 10 percent, and EBITDA increased 28 percent. Aandeelhouder Kinnevik benoemt VP strategie bij Tele2

Tele2 heeft Stina Andersson benoemd tot Executive Vice President Strategy & Business Development en lid van het Leadership team. Zij wordt ook verantwoordelijk voor de IoT divisie van de Tele2 Groep. De benoeming is per 5 december. Andersson heeft er dan vijf jaar op zitten in het management team van Kinnevik, een van de institutionele beleggers in Tele2.
