Telefonica has reached an agreement with Samsung Electronics to become an authorised reseller of the Samsung Knox Mobile secure mobile platform to public sector and enterprise customers worldwide. The platform allows business users and IT managers to separate personal and business applications and data on their mobile devices, while giving organisations enhanced security at all levels of the Android platform. This includes policies to control access to certain data and remote access to lock or wipe the phone if lost or stolen. Version 2.0 of the service was launched at Mobile World Congress in Barcelona last month.
Telefonica will be including Knox in its portfolio of security services for enterprises. The company offers its enterprise customers a range of the latest Samsung devices such as Galaxy S5, Galaxy Note 3 or Galaxy Note 10.1 (2014 Edition).
