Telekom Austria Group confirms Plater as new CEO
Telekom Austria Group has announced the appointment of Alejandro Plater as its new CEO with effect from 01 August. The confirmation of Plater's appointment by the supervisory board follows proposals by Telekom Austria's two majority shareholders America Movil and state-owned OBIB. Plater is already COO at the operator, and his contract period remains unchanged, running until March 2018 with an option for a two-year extension. From August, Telekom Austria Group's management board will consist of Plater and Siegfried Mayrhofer. Hannes Ametsreiter is stepping down as CEO from the end of July in order to become CEO of Vodafone Germany.

Telekom Austria reported revenues in its home market up by 2.5 percent year-on-year on a reported basis and stable excluding negative one-off effects in Q2 2014. Telekom Austria lowers FY revenue outlook after flat H1

Telekom Austria Group lowered its outlook for full-year revenues to flat versus 2014, due to weak economic conditions in its eastern European markets and negative currency effects, especially in Belarus. Telekom Austria Group announced that Hannes Ametsreiter will resign as CEO of Telekom Austria and A1 Telekom Austria with effect from 31 July.
