TeliaSonera chairman to step down in April
TeliaSonera's chairman Anders Narvinger will not stand for re-election and leave the board after the AGM on 3 April 2013. "I have understood that the Nomination Committee would like to see changes on the Board of Directors, and to create something of a new start for TeliaSonera, where a change of CEO is due next year. In light of this, it is a natural step for me to announce that I will not stand for re-election," Narvinger said in a statement. The Nomination Committee has started looking for a new chairman and hopes to announce a candidate by the end of January, for a vote at the AGM. The company said one of the chairman's first important tasks will be the recruitment of a new CEO. The current CEO Lars Nyberg, whose term expires at the end of 2013, recently said he would prepared to step down early if a replacement is found.

TeliaSonera appoints Luiga as acting CFO

TeliaSonera appointed Christian Luiga, currently head of Corporate Control, as acting CFO. He replaces former CFO Per-Arne Blomquist who took over the roles of president and CEO of TeliaSonera after CEO Lars Nyberg stepped down at the beginning of February. Luiga was employed by TeliaSonera in 2009. Prior to that, he was CFO at the listed companies Teleca and Framfab.

TeliaSonera CEO steps down

TeliaSonera's CEO Lars Nyberg has stepped down, a day after delivering the operator's annual results and an independent report cleared the company of bribery allegations. TeliaSonera Q4 net profit up 35%, organic sales rise 1.8%

TeliaSonera reported a strong improvement in net profit and cash flow for the fourth quarter, while underlying sales growth was better than its earlier guidance.
