Virgin Media O2 is introducing new benefits for customers who take both fixed and mobile services from the company. Available for consumers and small businesses with both Virgin fixed broadband and O2 postpaid mobile plans, the new Volt offer comes with double the standard broadband speeds, double mobile data and discounts of up to GBP 150 on tablets and smartwatches added to a mobile plan.
Additional benefits include the Intelligent WiFi Plus service at no extra cost and free 'roam like at home' in 75 countries with the O2 Travel Inclusive Zone. This is the company's first joint offering since completing the merger of Virgin Media and O2 earlier this year.
Volt is available to both new and existing customers. Those new to either Virgin Media or O2 will be able to upgrade to Volt when they add relevant services to their account, while existing customers of both Virgin Media and O2 need to enrol via the MyO2 platform, at no additional cost.
New fixed-mobile packages are also being introduced, including the Big Volt, Bigger Volt and Ultimate Volt bundles. These are available as a triple- or quad-play, all with the Volt benefits. Pricing for Volt bundles starts from GBP 40 per month for 200Mbps broadband (boosted from 100Mbps), Talk More Weekends and a 10GB O2 SIM (boosted from 5GB) on an 18-month contract. The Ultimate Volt bundle includes 1 Gbps broadband, an unlimited data O2 SIM and two TV 360 boxes for GBP 99 per month.
Volt benefits are also available for small businesses with up to 10 employees. They receive a 4G back-up for their Voom fibre broadband service and double mobile data on O2 Small Biz tariffs from 6GB per month.
O2 also will continue to operate its Priority loyalty programme for mobile customers.
