Vodafone Ireland activates 5G network in five cities

Vodafone Ireland confirmed that its 5G network is now live in selected areas in Dublin, Cork, Limerick, Waterford and Galway. The network will be expanded further over the coming months.

Vodafone said that two 5G-ready smartphones available will be available to purchase in August and September - the Huawei Mate 20X 5G (available from 14 August) and the Samsung Galaxy S10 5G (pre-register interest from 14 August). Customers will need to activate 5G on their RED Complete plans in-store, by phone (1907) or via live chat on the website.
