Xiaomi is thinking of making electric vehicles at the Great Wall Motor factory, Reuters reported, citing sources with direct knowledge of the matter. Xiaomi is in talks with the Chinese automobile manufacturer about using one of its plants to make the vehicles under its own brand.
The vehicles would be aimed at the mass market, in line with Xiaomi’s strategy concerning electronic products. Great Wall would provide engineering consultancy.
