ZTE announced changes to its organisation, including new heads of its devices and enterprise units. In 2014, the company said it plans to increase channel resources for its three strategic areas: operators, mobile devices and enterprise. At the same time, ZTE will step up efforts to target three emerging market segments: metropolitan public IT systems, new energy technology and mobile internet.
The company named Zeng Xuezhong, currently head of its China operators, to lead ZTE Mobile Devices. He Shiyou, the former head of the terminals business, will remain an executive director of ZTE. In addition, Senior VP Pang Shengqing was appointed head of ZTE’s enterprise business, and Zhao Xianming was named chief technology officer of ZTE.
The company said it will continue to focus on improving costs and margins this year and "strive for increased efficiency by adopting a flattened management structure".
