Dutch bank ABN Amro’s mobile-payment app Tikkie has launched in Germany, making for the app’s first cross-border venture outside the Netherlands. Users with a German bank account can use Tikkie to transfer money and forth between friends and acquaintances via the app.
Over 2 million people in the Netherlands have signed up to use Tikkie less than two years after its launch. The app will be marketed by Abn Amro’s subsidiary Moneyou in Germany.
