Altice appoints Melhi to drive original content, non-linear

French telecom and media group Altice has hired Nora Melhi, formerly head of drama at Shine France and CEO of Endemol Fiction, as its head of original creation and non-linear content. Melhi reports to Altice entertainment and sports CEO Nicolas Rotfkoff. Her responsibilities cover all of the group’s territories, including France, Belgium, Portugal, Israel, the US and other countries. She will oversee the SVoD service Zive, which will be extended from France to all Altice markets, the company announced last week.

Melhi has worked during her career on TV series and movies with several European broadcasters including Canal Plus, Mediaset, FranceTV, Arte, TV3 and SkyHD. While at Shine France Films, she executive produced the UK-French co-production Tunnel season 1 and 2, Malaterra, and the French adaptation of the UK drama Broadchurch.
