Altice names new CEO at PT, Neves to chair Portuguese ops
Altice announced that Claudia Goya has joined the group as CEO of Portugal Telecom. She replaces Paulo Neves, who becomes chairman of Altice's activities in Portugal. Neves will lead the process of obtaining regulatory approval for Altice's planned acquisition of Portuguese broadcaster Media Capital and the coordination between Altice's Portuguese assets.

Goya comes from Microsoft, where she has served as COO of Microsoft Brazil since 2012 and before that headed the marketing and operations division at Microsoft Portugal. She started her career at Procter & Gamble, where she led the haircare business in the Iberian Peninsula, and later worked at Galp Energia, responsible for its retail business of petrol stations in Portugal as well as Iberian business development of Oil & Gas, convenience shops, food courts and car maintenance centers.

The announcement follows reports that Altice plans to name two separate CEOs for Portugal Telecom and Media Capital, both reporting to Neves. The appointment of Neves to chairman of Media Capital will be one of the first steps after the deal is completed, reported Jornal de Negocios without naming its sources.
