Meo denies CEO Goya leaving company

Portuguese operator Meo has denied local press report that Claudia Goya will no longer be the executive president (CEO), four months after taking over the post, reports Jornal de Negocios. An official Meo source told the daily that they do not comment on rumours and rejected news of Goya's departure. Earlier, Jornal Economico said that the manager would leave her position this week and that an internal solution would be found.

The paper's sources claim that Goya has already been dismissed as part of the changes made by Altice following the departure of Altice CEO Michel Combes. Goya took over as Meo CEO in July of this year, replacing Paulo Neves, who became chairman with responsibility for the Media Capital takeover and integration, which is still awaiting the green light from the Competition Authority.
