Altice names new CEO in Portugal, Goya to replace Neves as chairperson

Alexandre Fonseca is the new CEO of Portugal Telecom and, with immediate effect, now leads Altice's telecommunications company in Portugal. He replaces Claudia Goya, who was named CEO only a few months ago but now becomes chairwoman of PT Portugal. Paulo Neves, the former CEO who became chairman in July, is leaving the group.

With almost 10 years of experience in the Altice group, Fonseca was CEO of ONI Portugal and ONI Mocambique and also CTO and Director of Technology and Information Systems of Cabovisao. Fonseca's former position as CTO will be occupied by Luis Alveirinho, until now Director of Engineering and Network Operations.
