AT&T, Sprint report record iPhone sales
AT&T and Sprint announced record sales on 14 October after the launch of the new Apple iPhone. Sprint, which is carrying the iPhone for the first time, said that by midday already it was the best ever day of sales for a device family in retail, online and telesales. The operator is offering the new iPhone 4S and the earlier iPhone 4. AT&T said it also saw record sales. By 16.30hrs New York time on 14 October, the operator had already activated a record number of iPhones on its network. The company said it was on track to double its previous record for activations on a single day.

Sprint says iPhone deal to cost at least USD 15.5 bln

Sprint said that its agreement with Apple to sell the iPhone will cost it at least USD 15.5 billion over four years, limiting its ability to turn a profit in that time.
