Beeline secures LTE access on Yota network
Russian mobile operator Vimpelcom, working under the Beeline brand, has successfully negotiated a contract with Yota for LTE access, reports Vedomosti. Beeline becomes the second federal partner of Yota providing LTE as a MVNO on the Yota network. Yota already partners on LTE with Megafon.

Beeline Russia grows Q4 EBITDA 15% to RUB 30.4 bln

Beeline Russia reported fourth-quarter revenues up 4 percent from a year earlier to RUB 73.6 billion, while EBITDA improved 15 percent to RUB 30.4 billion, helped by cost reductions and fewer one-time charges. Yota to open its LTE network for other operators

Russian operator Scartel, working under the Yota brand, plans to upgrade the software of its LTE network in order to raise the number of operators able to connect to it, Vedomosti reported. With the upgrade, six operators will be able to use the network simultaneously, instead of four. Yota and Megafon curently provide services over the network. Russian federal competition regulator FAS has started checking Yota's wholesale LTE offer, reports Vedomosti. The regulator doubts whether Yota is offering equal conditions to all operators accessing its LTE network. Yota and Megafon currently provide LTE services over the network.

Russian mobile operator Megafon, in cooperation with Yota, plans to launch LTE MVNO services in 40 cities by the end of the year, reports Vedomosti.
