BT launches One Phone, to return to mobile consumer market

Thursday 17 July 2014 | 14:51 CET | News
BT has launched a new service for UK SMBs called BT One Phone. This links all of a company's office phone system and mobile phone needs to a single service, hosted in the cloud and delivered on a mobile phone. The service operates on a full range of handsets by inserting a BT One Phone SIM. BT CEO Gavin Patterson announced at the AGM that mobile and fixed line convergence represented a "significant opportunity to grow," the Financial Times reports. He told shareholders, "Later in the year we will come back to the consumer market and I think you'll be excited."
