Global sports streaming service Dazn is in advanced talks to acquire BT Sport, reports the Financial Times. According to unnamed sources with direct knowledge of the negotiations, a deal could be reached within weeks.
News of the talks comes after The Times newspaper reported earlier in the week that Dazn was interested in BT's sports business to secure UK rights for showing the English Premier League. There is no certainty that BT and Dazn will reach an agreement, with talks underway about a number of factors such as licensing and price, which could reach hundreds of millions of pounds, the report said.
