
Deutsche Telekom has announced at the Ifa show in Berlin a partnership with Apple, allowing customers to try out Apple Music free for six months. After the free trial, users can purchase the streaming service for EUR 9.95 per month. The cost is charged as part of their phone bill.
The German operator also announced a new option on its MagentaMobil rate plans, the DayFlat unlimited. DayFlat unlimited allows customers to buy an unlimited data allowance for 24 hours. The cost is a fixed price of EUR 4.95 for customers with MagentaMobil rate plans and EUR 9.95 for customers with Data Comfort plans. All new customers and customers switching plans get DayFlat unlimited added to their MagentaMobil or Data Comfort plan for 31 days free of charge, giving them an unrestricted data allowance for their first month.
In addition, Deutsche Telekom now offers the MagentaMobil XL Premium plan with unlimited data. For EUR 199.95 er month, the new premium plan includes unlimited data, including LTE Max speeds, as well as unlimited calls and SMS to all German networks and unlimited HotSpot access. The plan also offers the EU-Flat Plus, including the US, Canada and Turkey, and two additional Multi-SIM cards for using the plans on a total of up to three devices. Subscribers get a landline telephone number and a new top smartphone every 12 months.
Telekom also announced that it's boosting speeds for all mobile broadband customers. All customers with LTE-compatible plans will now receive automatically the top speed of 300 Mbps, known as LTE Max, at no extra cost. Customers with 3G devices will also get a boost, with an automatic upgrade to up to 42.2 Mbps. After using up their data bundle, they can still add the SpeedOn option to raise speeds again.
Finally, for customers taking both fixed and mobile services under the MagentaEINS packages, Telekom offers EntertainTV mobil for tablet, smartphone and PC at no extra cost. This offer is available to all MagentaEINS customers, including those who do not take the Entertain TV service and only get internet and telephone services from Deutsche Telekom.
