UK mobile network group EE has unveiled pricing and plans for its new superfast 4G mobile and fibre broadband services. The 4G and fixed-line fibre services will launch for consumers and businesses on 30 October. The Fibre Broadband service will be available in 11 million premises nationally with plans starting from GBP 15 per month.
4GEE data allowances start with the light data usage entry plan, offering 500 MB at GBP 36 per month, and extend up to 8 GB for GBP 56 per month for the heavier data user. Data controls will alert customers when they are approaching the data allowance limit, and then when their limit is reached. They can then choose to buy a data add-on, or wait until the next bill period starts. All customers will be able to tether or use VoIP services as part of their plan – with no need to buy specific data add-ons. BT Wi-Fi is also included in all plans at no extra cost. For an extra GBP 5 per month, customers will be able to take their unlimited voice and text allowance abroad with them, in Europe and selected countries worldwide.
Small business customers also will have a range of 4GEE phone plans, with data allowances of 1 GB including unlimited UK calls and texts starting from GBP 35 per month (excl. VAT). The new 4GEE Sharer Plan will allow sharing of data allowances across all users and devices within their business, plus inclusive calls to colleagues and landlines. There will also be a range of dedicated 4GEE plans for medium-sized, public sector and corporate customers, from an additional GBP 3 per month on top of their existing or new package.
