Ericsson and the Polish operator Polkomtel are testing LTE Broadcast in Poland, the first such trial in the country. The trial took place during the opening game of the FIVB Volleyball Men's World Championship, between Poland and Serbia at Warsaw's National Stadium on 30 August. The game was streamed to approximately 300 selected guests and journalists. The test group was provided with 300 LTE Broadcast-enabled mobile devices with a pre-configured application to watch live streaming of the game. The whole event lasted for about four hours, and the trial was well received by the test group, with a high-quality video and viewing experience.
