FreedomPop to use Sprint LTE, Wimax networks
FreedomPop and Sprint have formed a wholesale collaboration that will expand FreedomPop's mobile broadband internet service in the US. FreedomPop will now have access to Sprint's LTE and Wimax networks as well as its 3G network. The agreement with Sprint enables FreedomPop to possess a national footprint, offering free broadband to over 250 million Americans on the Sprint 3G, Wimax and LTE networks. It earlier signed a similar agreement with Sprint associate Clearwire. FreedomPop is expected to start testing its services later this summer.
