HP is in talks license its webOS mobile software, CEO Leo Apotheker told Bloomberg. He said HP is talking to "a number of companies" which have expressed interest, but declined to give further details. Apotheker declined to give a timeframe for deciding on webOS partners, saying "there is no time pressure to do this." Three people with knowledge of the discussions told Bloomberg that Samsung held talks on using webOS in its smartphones. Apotheker declined to say whether HP and Samsung are having discussions, as did Jason Kim, a Samsung spokesman.
