Hrvatski Telekom, Vipnet receive digital dividend in Croatia
Croatia's Agency for Post and Electronic Communications (Hakom) announced it has awarded to Hrvatski Telekom and Vipnet the digital dividend spectrum in the 791-821/832-862 MHz bands. The licences are valid until 2024. In turn, the Croatian operators will pay into the state budget one-off fees of a total HRK 300 million, as well as a corresponding annual fee for the use of the radio frequencies. The spectrum was vacated with the switch from analogue to digital broadcasting in Croatia. The digital dividend is especially suitable for the implementation of 4G/LTE mobile communications.

Hrvatski Telekom to pay HRK 169.9 million for 4G frequencies

Croatian operator Hrvatski Telekom announced that it will pay to the state budget HRK 169.9 million by 17 November for LTE frequencies. Vipnet pays EUR 20 million for 800 MHz spectrum

Telekom Austria Group confirmed that its Croatian unit Vipnet has obtained a 10 MHz paired frequency block (total of 20 MHz) in the 800 MHz band. The operator paid a total of HRK 150 million (approximately EUR 20 million). Croatian mobile telephony operator Vipnet announced that it has submitted an application for the allotment of digital dividend spectrum as part of a public call launched by the Agency for Post and Electronic Communications (Hakom). Croatian mobile operators have criticised the proposed changes to regulations on radio-frequency fees, put up for public debate on 25 May, according to local media reports.
