KT drops bid for Maroc Telecom
Korea's KT said it has withdrawn from the bidding to acquire Vivendi's stake in Maroc Telecom. The operator said it did not rule out cooperating with the company in future and would review the situation at a later date. According to the latest press reports, bids for the stake are due at the end of this month. Other operators that have expressed interest include Etisalat, Ooredeoo and MTN.

Korean communications provider KT is considering a business tie-up with Maroc Telecom, although the company withdrew a bid for the operator earlier this year. Ooredoo pulls out of bid for Maroc Telecom

Qatar-based Ooredoo has withdrawn its bid for Vivendi's 53 percent stake in Maroc Telecom, leaving rival Etisalat as the remaining bidder, Reuters reports. Jeremy Sell, Ooredoo's chief strategy officer, said valuation and frustration with the process are the reasons why Ooredoo dropped its bid.
