LG to unveil four new mid-range K series phones at CES 2017

LG Electronics has confirmed that it will take advantage of its appearance at CES 2017 in early January to unveil four new mid-range smartphones in its K Series range. The K3, K4, K8, and K10 will be introduced in Las Vegas alongside the new LG Stylus 3 smartphone (to be called Stylo 3 plus in the US). The first generation of the K-series phones was unveiled earlier this year at CES 2016.

In a statement, LG said the new mid-range devices are designed to bring popular, best-in-class technologies from LG’s more premium flagship smartphones, such as the 120-degree wide angle front camera lens and the rear fingerprint scanner. The K10 will feature a 5.3-inch HD display, a 5MP front camera with 120-degree wide angle lens, a 13MP rear camera, a fingerprint scanner, 2GB of RAM and internal memory of 32GB.

The K8 will feature a 5-inch HD display, a 13MP rear and a 5MP front camera, 1.5GB RAM and 16GB of storage. The entry level K3 and K4, meanwhile, come with 1GB of RAM and 8GB of storage, plus displays of 5 and 4.5 inches respectively. Both smartphones have a 5MP primary camera with the K4 offering a 5MP front camera and the K3 having 2MP.

Finally, the LG Stylus 3 will come with a 5.7-inch HD display, 3GB of RAM and 16GB of internal storage plus a 13MP and 8MP camera combination, built-in stylus pen, a fingerprint scanner and a 3,200mAh battery, a built-in stylus pen and a fingerprint scanner. No pricing details have been disclosed and information regarding launch dates and markets will be announced locally in the weeks to come, said LG.
