Lithuania m-payment venture MoQ plans launch in July

Lithuanian company Mobilieji Mokejimai, a subsidiary of the mobile operators Telia Lithuania, Bite Lithuania and Tele2 Lithuania, plans to start its mobile payment services in July. Testing of the product under the MoQ brand was started earlier this April, and a broader trial is planned to start in May with around 1,000 employees of the company and the mobile operators.

Telia Lithuania, Bite Lithuania and Tele2 Lithuania invested EUR 2.1 million in the mobile payment platform at the end of 2017. Instant payments will be available using handsets.

Telia Lithuania said foreign visitors from more than 110 countries reap the benefits of the operator's 4G network. Mobilieji Mokejimai prepares for summer launch with final testing

Lithuanian company Mobilieji Mokejimai, a joint venture of the mobile operators Bite Lithuania, Telia Lithuania and Tele2 Lithuania, has started the last stage of testing of its payment system MoQ, reports Vz.lt. Around 1,000 staff members of the mobile operators and their partners, as well as around a dozen cafes in Vilnius participate in the beta-testing stage. The system is planned to launch this summer.

Lithuanian mobile operators acquire m-payments platform Mobilieji Mokejimai

Lithuanian mobile operators Bite Lithuania, Tele2 Lithuania and Telia Lithuania have each acquired a 33.3 percent stake in mobile payment company Mobilieji Mokejimai. The increased capital of the company amounts to EUR 2.1 million.

Lithuanian operators cleared to launch instant payment platform

European Commission has allowed Lithuanian mobile operators to create a common instant payments platform. The largest mobile operators – Bite Lithuania, Tele2 Lithuania and Telia Lithuania – will participate in running the platform. Mobilus Mokejimai, a joint venture founded by the three operators, will create the platform required for provision of instant payments. It will also be the main operator and supervisor of this platform.
