Maroc Telecom rebrands African subsidiaries as Moov Africa

Maroc Telecom has rebranded all its eleven subsidiaries in Africa as Moov Africa as of 01 January. Based in Morocco and active in Benin, Burkina Faso, Cote d’Ivoire, Gabon, Mali, Mauritania, Niger, the Central African Republic, Chad and Togo, the operator wants to unite its subsidiaries and 70 million customers around a common identity.

According to the company, the new identity illustrates the vision of the Maroc Telecom group: ‘Africa on the move’, which lies in the principle of sharing the group’s know-how and its capacity for innovation for the benefit of the countries in which it operates. This rebranding is intended to support Moov’s engagement and efforts with the customers the company serves every day.

The Moov brand is already used by the company in around half its footprint. Expanding the brand to all the African subsidiaries is expected to underline they are part of a wider African group. The roll-out includes a new Moov Africa branding, which incorporates the same crescent design as Marco Telecom's logo on a blue background, and media campaigns featuring the Olympic judoka Teddy Riner.
