Mexican competition watchdog probes telecoms deals
Mexico's competition watchdog CFC has launched an investigation into agreements between telephony operators and TV services providers, Bloomberg reports. CFC claims that agreements between fixed, mobile phone, internet, broadcast and pay-TV operators could represent prohibited concentrations of market power. The agency did not name the companies it would examine in the probe.

Mexico starts antitrust probe into mobile phone market

Mexico's competition watchdog Cofeco has started an investigation into possible monopolistic practices in the country's mobile phone market. Competition body confirms Telmex's dominant position

Mexican competition watchdog CFC has confirmed its initial dominance findings related to America Movil's fixed-line unit Telmex, El Universal reports. Back in 2009, the CFC found that Telmex was dominant in four aspects of the fixed-line phone business, while in 2010 it ruled that mobile unit Telcel was dominant in the mobile phone market.
